About the Illustrious Writer
I am really bad at writing bios about myself. Maybe it is because I am not all that interesting. No, that can’t be it. Midwestern modesty? Perhaps. So, I am married and work in the legal field with domestic abuse cases. And I have a dog. I love film, pop culture, art, HBO, reality TV, politics, lying around on beaches, reading stuff, and some other crap I can’t remember right now. Fascinating, I know.
Here’s another blog of mine (that needs content!) www.howdidyou2meet.blogspot.com

You are woman, hear u roar…Loved reading your post 2day. I am a 20-something in a 43 yr. old body. I can’t commit to a mortgage much less a man!
@jujuburd
Thank you, Julie!
I loved this Maija! I didn’t realize at first that you were the author! Very impressive my dear friend!! By the way, I feel like this often… 20 years ago I was driving a rusty old beater around and praying it didn’t konk out on me… now I drive a brand new car and live in my own house and I even have a cordless drill and my own electric lawn mower and everything! Wow, how did that happen? And further, how can I possibly be the mother of these huge, grown-up people??
Thank you, Molly! So glad I am not the only one who feels this way. I can’t even imagine the aspect of children! The other day I was giving advice to my mom and she seemed to actually be listening to it. Now THAT felt weird too.
Imagine getting advice from your own daughter, and finding yourself going “Hmm, I hadn’t thought of that, that’s good advice!” Yup, strange, very strange.
Randomly stumbled upon this blog.
“A couple of people told me I was a good writer and I am trying to prove them wrong”
That sure induced a LOL.
Cool! Thanks for the comment!
Dear MJ,
I’m sure you’ve gotten plenty of these from
comic fans, but I just read your account of
your brother Bill Jaaska.
Some of the comics he illustrated are among
my favorites ever, including the hilarious
Christmas satire, Hulk 378.
I have two pages of his art (originally
sold by the inker I think) from this book
posted in my gallery room:

I loved the facial expressions in this issue
and kept my eye out for his work ever since.
My condolences.
