The Proposal

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds star as a controlled executive and her assistant whom she forces into marriage lest she be deported.  Shock of all shocks, despite his hatred for her, they end up falling in love. I’m not generally a huge fan of romantic comedies but I have been entertained by a few.  Why did I put this in my Netflix queue?  Oh yeah: Ryan Reynolds.  This film was moderately entertaining.  ”When Harry Met Sally” it was not, but it didn’t suck rhino either.  Ryan and Sandra were both cute and amusing, and they had good chemistry (is there anyone who would not have good chemistry with Ryan?).  The plot kept me interested and the writing was fine.  It won’t alter your world view, but it is a viable way to pass an hour and a half if you are a fan of romantic comedies, Sandra Bullock, or RYAN REYNOLDS.  Or if you are really shallow.
